Downtown St. Petersburg is renowned for its walkability, and Mirror Lake in its midst is somewhat of a hidden gem. Located just north of downtown between First Avenue North and Fifth Street, Mirror Lake is arguably the original life-giving heart of our city. The spring-fed former reservoir was the town’s primary water supply following the Spanish American War. Now, St. Pete City Council describes the area as a “quiet retreat within downtown.”
While the Mirror Lake neighborhood is largely quiet and residential, there is a scattering of other uses too. Past the parkland, aquatic birds, and iconic historic structures lies a paramount plot for a new development. Enter, Reflection.
Reflection, an 18-story condominium development planned for Mirror Lake, was conceived by a group of St. Petersburg locals with decades of experience in real estate and banking. The tower will be located at the northeast corner of 3rd Avenue North and 8th Street North and will offer 88 modern-luxury units.
Designed by SMP Architectures, the glass facade building will feature approximately 5,300 square feet of retail space. The tower’s residences will be located on floors seven through seventeen. The units will range from 1,300 square feet to over 2,300 square feet with between one and three bedrooms. Unlike other condominium buildings in Downtown St. Petersburg, Reflection’s top floor won’t contain penthouse units. Instead, plans call for a rooftop amenity deck featuring a resort-style pool that will offer 360 degree views of the city. Pricing is set to begin in the $600,000s.
Construction is projected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2020 or first quarter of 2021. A sales center is located in the ground floor of The Sage building at 600 1st Avenue North. Sales are being led by KW Development Services and reservations begin this weekend.
